Clays for Kids 2022

Chaired by one of BEAR's most fearless group of females, Cathy Anderson, Joanie De Ayala, Monica Jones, and Laura Lee Vaio (pictured above!), and presented by our friends at Castaway Rods, 2022's event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th at the Greater Houston Sports Club and will certainly be one for the ages! What makes this year so exciting, you may ask?

• Cooler weather! While we all know and love Houston for its warmth, we can't wait to host an event in the spring where we might have a chance to add a jacket, not take one off!
• Raffle, raffle, and MORE raffle! If you attend this year's fun, you will get a chance to put your name in the hat for the most items BEAR has ever offered before!
• Dinner and drinks will be aplenty! After the shoot concludes, all participants are provided dinner and have access to a well-stocked open bar. Talk about a great way to end the workday!
• Other FUNdraising surprises! Raffle items are not the only things you could win at this year's event. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks of what we will have in store for all participants!

FAQ's:

• Can I participate from afar? You are always welcome to make a difference from afar through a donation! For this specific event, however, only registered guests in attendance can participate in the raffle and other fundraising aspects held on March 8th.
• Is there a rain plan? Rain or shine we are a GO! Should there be any inclement weather that may be of concern, however, all participants will be contacted immediately.
• Can I rent a gun to participate? All registered guests are expected to bring their own guns for this event. No guns will be available for rent at the Greater Houston Sports Club.
• Do I need to bring my own ammo? Nope! Ammo is provided for all registered guests for 12, 20, and 28 gauge shotguns.
• How will COVID-19 be addressed?

  1. The event will be held in an outdoor setting with plenty of fresh air (and hopefully no crazy weather!)...on the course and on a covered, outdoor Pavilion space!

  2. BEAR encourages all guests in attendance to be fully vaccinated and to bring their preferred style of face mask with them to the venue should you like to wear one!

  3. The event will be *CASHLESS, allowing every guest to participate in the evening from his or her smartphone!
  *If you would like to pay with a check at the end of the evening, we are happy to accommodate this form of payment.

  4. The event will be set up with social distancing in mind, and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the day!
